Complete blepharoplasty
Complete blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure that allows both the upper and lower eyelids to be treated simultaneously. Over time, excess skin, fat accumulation, and loss of tissue firmness can make the eyes appear tired and heavy. This combined procedure makes it possible to harmoniously address the entire periocular area, improving the overall balance of the face.
Upper blepharoplasty involves the removal of excess skin and, if necessary, fatty tissue from the upper eyelid. The incision is made within the natural crease of the eyelid, making the scar minimally visible.
The procedure is generally performed under local anesthesia and allows for a rapid recovery.
Lower blepharoplasty is indicated for the treatment of fatty bags, palpebromalar hollows, and excess skin of the lower eyelid. The incision may be placed below the lash line or, in selected cases, inside the eyelid.
The procedure allows the tissues to be reshaped and improves the harmony of the periocular area.
