Mild gynecomastia
Mild gynecomastia is a condition characterized by enlargement of the male breast gland in the absence of significant excess skin. It may occur during adolescence or adulthood and often represents both an aesthetic and psychological concern. Surgical treatment makes it possible to restore a flatter and more proportionate chest contour.
The procedure involves a small incision, generally placed along the edge of the areola, through which the excess glandular tissue is removed. In some cases, mild liposuction may be combined to refine the chest contour.
The procedure is generally performed under local anesthesia with sedation or under loco-regional anesthesia, depending on the clinical evaluation. Recovery is gradual, with scheduled post-operative follow-up visits.
