Rhinoplasty – Septorhinoplasty

The nose is a central element in the balance of the face. Alterations in shape, disproportionate proportions, or deviations of the nasal septum can affect both aesthetics and respiratory function. Rhinoplasty and septorhinoplasty are surgical procedures designed to correct these aspects while respecting each patient’s individual characteristics.

The goal is to achieve a proportionate and natural result, improving breathing quality as well whenever necessary.

Rhinoplasty can be performed using either a closed or open technique, depending on the anatomical characteristics and complexity of the case. Through internal incisions or a small incision at the columella level, the surgeon reshapes the bones and cartilage to define the new nasal profile.

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. Recovery includes an initial period with a nasal splint and scheduled post-operative follow-up visits.

Septorhinoplasty combines aesthetic correction with the correction of a deviated nasal septum, improving respiratory function.

In addition to external reshaping, a procedure is performed on the septum to restore proper airflow. This procedure is indicated when aesthetic concerns coexist with functional breathing problems.
