Lip Filler: Reshaping with Harmony

Filler (from the English word “filling”) is an aesthetic medical treatment used to correct minor imperfections and restore tone and volume to the lips, without altering their natural features.

As the lips begin to age, the tissue tends to lose hydration and elasticity, the first wrinkles appear, and changes in proportions occur.

Lip filler is one of the most requested treatments in aesthetic medicine.
After all, as the brilliant Audrey Hepburn once said: “Happy girls are the prettiest.

What Does Lip Filler Contain?

Filler is composed of hyaluronic acid, a substance already naturally present in our body. It is a very long molecule, rich in water molecules, which organizes itself into reticular structures, creating a supportive framework within the tissues where it is found.

Chronological and photoaging lead to a progressive reduction of hyaluronic acid, and its depletion causes changes in tissue physiology: filler is the safest and least invasive method to achieve hydrated and redefined lips.

Lip Filler: All the Information About the Treatment

The lip filler treatment is always preceded by a consultation with one of the specialists at the Dermacademy Institute, during which the patient’s requests are carefully evaluated in order to identify the solution best suited to the desired result.

The treatment lasts approximately 30 minutes and is performed in the clinic by specialist aesthetic doctors: the injection of small amounts of hyaluronic acid produces immediately visible aesthetic results, giving harmony and fullness to the lips.

As it is a safe and minimally invasive treatment, patients can return to their daily activities immediately afterward.

Mild side effects may occur and generally resolve within 24–48 hours after treatment: these include small bruises or slight swelling in the treated area.

Depending on the product used and the patient’s specific characteristics, the results may last for a variable period ranging from 3 to 6 months.
